1st Post!

Welcome to my blog!

As many of you know, I have already begun working privately with clients and conducting wellness workshops around the city, and now I will be adding this blog to my endeavors to help people live a healthier, happier life!

Why the name in. wellness?

These days, living healthy can feel very complicated. There seem to be endless studies about how we are not getting enough of this vitamin or how we need to eat more of that new super-food. It can feel overwhelming to keep up with everything. But, in the end, there are some very simple things that we can do to live healthier lives. We know the basics. Eat less. Exercise more. Eat mostly fruits and vegetables.

And yet, this actually seems like the hardest part!

I believe that this is because learning to live a healthier life is not just about staying up to date on the latest information, but about going in to look at our relationship to ourselves. To our bodies and how we care for them. Why don't we cook more? Why do we eat when we are not hungry? Why don't we exercise every day? Without building inner awareness, we are not going to be successful at changing our diet and well-being, at least not for very long. Change has to come from the roots. This allows us to make choices towards a healthier, more vibrant life, instead of wasting energy fighting against ingrained patterns that have been with us forever.

Therefore, while this blog will cover a range of topics and tips related to weight loss, nutrition, and overall wellness, there will also be a focus on going in to discover answers for ourselves. Please sign up (on the right) with your email address so you are sure to get my new posts!

*Sneak peak at my next post, coming in just a few days!

In keeping with the root theme... Root root roots! Did you know that root vegetables can help to purify your blood and promote good circulation? Stay tuned for my next post which will focus on these nutrient dense foods. Plus you'll learn why eating them at this particular time of day can help you with energy maintenance and weight loss!

  1. I love the tree root with the heart. It is really beautiful and reminded me of how I need to love and take care of what's inside! Genius...
